As mentioned in the introduction, the Qi charging standard, devised by the Wireless Power Consortium, allows wireless charging thanks to Wireless Charge technology. This way of powering electronic devices uses electromagnetic induction, generating current only through contact between device and charging station.

Once the charger is connected to the power supply, it is energised and generates energy in the form of an electromagnetic field, which can then be transferred to a compatible receiver device when correctly positioned.
